Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum is a museum at 222
Fifth Avenue South in Nashville, Tennessee, United States.
Its mission is to document the history of country music and
to honor its major figures. Within the building lies the Hall
of Fame itself, which consists of plaques honoring the most
famous of country and western music-related personalities
as designated by the Country Music Association (CMA).
When you step into the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum,
you will be embarking on a trip through decades of country
music history in this architecturally-stunning building, which stretches over an entire block
of Nashville with its exhibits that are sure to thrill any
fan of the genre. A towering wall of honor features displays
of every gold and platinum record to hit the country music
charts, as well as exhibits dedicated to the music trailblazers
and legends who have been inducted into the Hall of Fame.
The 40,000-square-foot museum also features rare recordings,
memorabilia, and special traveling exhibits. You can also
catch a show at the state-of-the-art Ford Theater, which is
housed on the grounds of the museum. .
Discover the stories behind the music as you view over 3,000
stage costumes, original song manuscripts and musical instruments.
Many of the personal items of music legends are on display
including Elvis' solid gold Cadillac. Admission includes a
visit to the historical RCA Studio B and the Music Row walking
tour. Allow at least two hours for exhibits and the tour.
